Mahjong Connect Privacy Policy

Mahjong Connect is a tile-matching game with an optional online leaderboard. The game does not contain advertising and does not sell personal data.

Data we process

When the leaderboard is available, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous player ID. Firebase Cloud Firestore stores that generated player name, game score, level reached, remaining time, result, app version, and submission time. Firebase Analytics also records anonymous gameplay events such as game starts, board completions, daily challenge streaks, and whether a Play review flow was available. Firebase Analytics uses a Firebase app-instance identifier and may process the Android Advertising ID when it is available, along with standard device information and approximate location derived from a masked IP address. These identifiers are used only for anonymous analytics, not for advertising or user profiling. Analytics does not receive the leaderboard player ID, your real name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment data.

Why we process it

Leaderboard data is used only to rank scores, preserve a player's best result, prevent one device from creating unlimited named profiles, and let the player delete their entry. Anonymous analytics helps us understand game starts, board completion, daily challenge return rate, and technical quality so we can improve the game. Google may process technical connection information as part of operating Firebase securely.

Sharing and retention

Leaderboard records are stored by Google Firebase as our service provider. Generated player names and scores are visible to other players. Analytics events are available only to Geos Media through its Firebase and Google Analytics property. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. A leaderboard record remains until it is replaced by a better score or deleted by the player.

Your controls

Tap Delete My Score in the leaderboard to delete the score and anonymous player ID from Firebase. The app immediately creates a new empty anonymous ID so the leaderboard can continue to work. Analytics does not create a player account and is not linked to the leaderboard identity. You can also review the data deletion instructions.

Children

The game does not knowingly collect direct identifiers from children. The leaderboard uses system-generated names and does not allow free-form public messages or profile text.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected on this page and identified by a new effective date.
